TE31 strut/shocks
I looking for front and rear strut/shocks for my daily driver TE31 that will be stiffer than what I already have. Or do you think OE replacement will be fine. I've heard of some people using rear Camaro shocks from the 90's. The car is already dropped about 3 inches. But nothing for the front. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Re: TE31 strut/shocks
For the rears you can use the mid 90's camaro shocks, they are a little bit shorter than the stock ones(better for you since you are lowered like me), they bolt right in. I got these KYB 343211 shocks for my 78 te31 rides nice, could get the better KYB gas adjust KG5562. For the fronts am not sure what ones you could just throw in the strut tubes unless you do coilover conversion with shortened struts with MR2 rear inserts. Hope that helps!
Re: TE31 strut/shocks
I have a coilover setup up front but with stock inserts.
Re: TE31 strut/shocks
Thanks for the info on the rear shocks. Installed them rides a lot better.
Re: TE31 strut/shocks
Glad to hear!! I will be doing a coilover swap in the front for my next suspension upgrade.
