The original shifter has also been relocated to suit the R154


The car is plauged with a little rust so progress will be slow.

All welding and fabrication will be done by me.
Not much to report at this time but the more I fix the more rust we uncover. The rocker panels are shot! Whoever did the repair before used a thin galvanized material and it 's just too soft. They also used a hell of a lot of black cement flashing to fill the rust spots and gaps. So I'm cutting out the inner rockers and replacing them with 18ga sheet metal and reinforcing with 1 x 2 x 1/16 square tubing. There is also a lot of rust next to the spring perches so I don't know what my options are here. I looked at this lower crossmember from Jegs as an alternative.:

Just a little update! Installed the motor to check clearances and to mock up the I/C






The intercooler end tank had to be modified from a standard straight-end setup to fit.


Cut out the spare tire tub an surrounding sheet metal:

Added 1"X2"X1/16" square tubing for reinforcements and radiator mount.






Combined a generic catch can and expansion tank to make this unit:




The rust is all taken care of (pics to follow)
