Also... about your exterior door releases... I assume you had them stripped and powder coated to get them black?????
You mean the door handles?
yes... I've had my trim blacked... but the door handles were not done

I got the mirrors and handles painted at the same time as the rest of the car.

kind of glad you've removed the 'crown of a flower' sticker heh.

OST.. the factory black handles are actually plastic. can grab them from the coupe/hardtop or liftback body. sedan and wagon show a different part number so not sure they'll work on the coupe but they look the same? There's a change in the linkage design between early/late body style but the wire is the same i believe so still interchanges. Can also try the '84-'88 hilux as i've got a coupe handle fitted on my ute. can buy thai remanufactured ones on ebay.

Interesting to see a similar build for major parts. Same turbo but I using a 2TG head. How do you find the 222 cams with the turbo? Do you have a dyno chart for the motor?

Cool...The 2T-G head har better airflow so should give good performance with boost.
The 222 cams gives a very nice performance on my engine.
I first tried out som 272 cams from schneider, but ended up with the 222s instead.

No dyno sheet yet...
