The old turbo setup.

Post by 808TurboCorolla » Sun Oct 05, 2014 4:28 am

Just found these pics on my computer and wanted to share my old project.
Stock 2T, Norris cam and springs, 32/36 boosted 18psi.. This was with a junk yard intercooler from a mazda. Ran 11.70's with and it was so smooth on the street I miss the drivability of the dgv.

This is after I changed to a bigger intercooler. I was hoping for a better ET but it still ran 11.70's :(

Cool setup. What do you have to do to the carb to make this work?

Not much.. All that needs to happen is stop the pressurized air from coming out the carb. Closing off the choke linkage arm hole takes about 10 minutes with a little jb weld :P

Not sure about the pictures, probably 3 or 4 years ago. I first made the car in 2008 and I believe I sold it in 2011 to build my 1971 corolla. I'll post pics of that build later

I cant believe you can ran 11s with boost on those carbs!   What kind of fuel pump did you use for that? I just might have to try that! :D
