WTB: alternator bracket

Hey guys,

I have a 2TC engine in my AE86 that I need the upper bracket that allows your to adjust the belt tension for the alternator belt. I bought an alternator from BRDRacing and it does not match with the current bracket I have.

Let me know what you got.

All 2tc/3tc alternator brackets are the same. Post a pic of what you have. You might have to modify one.

This is what I have running in the car now. Don't mind the belt, I've already addressed that issue. Now, when I go to install the BRDRacing alternator, which is a different style (3 pin connector compared to the 2 pin connector which is installed)...



it doesn't line up with the bracket. It actually binds against the bracket.

Usually 3 pin is an external voltage regulator which ae86's dont come with and would be difficult to add. I would have got a 2 pin internal or one wire alternator.

Maybe you can exchange it, I had a brd one wire about 10 or more years ago but never ran the car so cant say how good they are but it did bolt to the stock alternator bracket whick looks like what you have but not 100% because of picture quality.
