Tune, parts, help me get it on the street
So I have my '80 sr5 coupe or "sportcoupe" as some say, I need to get it going for my daily and need a few tips. I'm going to purchase a weber carb and was curious about doing a FPR with it.. Should i? And how about idling/timing set up? As well as a new fuel pump?
Re: Tune, parts, help me get it on the street
Lots of people ask this.......... If FPR means a regulator you dont have to if you get the right pump. Weber sells a pump for all their carbs, or you can get a low pressure high flow pump. All you need is a pump with 1 to 4 psi Pressure, if you get a cheap pump low psi low flow you will have problems with it. So get a Carter or weber. Some people use stock pumps but I dont like that idea myself. Timing and idling is the same as stock, you are just adding a carb to the car.
But remember you will be the computer for the car once you start upgrading things.
So setting the carb and getting some jets will come with it.
