WarWagn's 1980 Corolla Wagon.

Post by WarWagn »

Picked up this little gem from a friend a couple weeks ago. 108k miles, not a lick of rust, interior is pretty clean, auto car unfortunately (that will be fixed), 100% stock. Didn't really plan on picking it up, but I didn't want to let it slip away. Have always loved classic Japanese cars having owned a FB RX-7 and AE-86 that were ridiculously fun cars.

So far my plans are:

5 Speed swap
coilovers\custom leafs\wheels
Up in the air over turbo or NA car to get into the 14's

Always open to constructive criticism!

Georgia car owned by a Toyota tech since new. Have all maintenance records and even the original title from 1980. I almost don't want to touch it, but I know that won't happen :P

Those are the first things on my list once surgery bills are paid. Finding a parts car for the 5 speed swap is proving challenging though :/

Wow man this thing is beautiful!
Such a great base to start with!
And knowing all the history is a plus!
I got lucky and found a car at the scrapyard and i pulled everything to do my 5speed for around 200$.
Goodluck with your project and keep us up to date with the progress:)

Thanks for the compliments, guys!

Had a little chat with some Toyota heads about these 3TCs, seems they are pretty awesome 4 bangers. Kind of put in place a plan for the engine; Will be staying N\A for the time being, cam\side drafts\P&P\Forged guts\valve train\etc... The idea also crossed my mind of 12:1 and E85. Either way it will be a fun little car to drive!
