2tc , 3tc long blocks , short blocks ?

So I'm hearing about 3tc and 2tc short blocks and long blocks what are the differences ?

A long block includes the head etc. 2t and 3t are similar engines different strokes. The 2t being the smaller cc version. Most parts interchange but 3t cranks may need a little grinding to fit in older blocks.
