title says it all, I am looking at de-arcing my rear leafs and was wondering if anyone knew how, or had any input on the topic. I have heard that lowering blocks are a viable option, but from my understanding wont they make the rear end sloppy, and wont the u bolts scrape?

Me too, dear hing the springs make em weak and prone to crack, plus it make the geometry of the suspension works wrong on whats is the shackles all about
Do yourself a favor use the blocks and install the shocks on the right side to prevent shock travel issues as some cars have the lower shock brackets on the diff itself making the shock placement work against leaf spring,

Alright ill look into blocks a bit more then. no one wants a weak suspension. and thanks bob for the how to on making them.
Down the road I would not mind doing a rear end swap, I hear the 8.8 rear end out of a mustang will work? its a bit longer though right?

This is what i am talking about when i said the shock mount, as you guys see the spring went down and the shock stays with the axle and thats a NO NO,
you guys need to try to install the shock next to the spring where it belongs to prevent shock bind!

The spring itself didn't went no where the axle was raised in this mod !
The only issue is the travel length of the shocks if you kept it stock
Since short stroke is placed it won't affect the drive ability
