De-arcing rear leaf springs on a 81 corolla wagon

So to do this mod properly I need to relocate the strut mount down to where the leafs connect with the lowering block? I am a bit confused as to why this needs to happen.

If you are using the stock shocks yes you need to relocate em down where the leaf spring is to prevent the bouncy bouncy rear suspension but if you are using shorter stroke shocks you dont need to do this, as long as the shock is a short stroke as it is the lowering block!

what do you think about flipping the leaf springs? ive seen it done but never riddin in one to see how it rides.

The spring is not make for operate that way
