I have this 82 sr5 lift back. wanna drive it, but the charge light is on.
I put a new batt, and alt. positive can be removed and car still runs.
But the charge lite stays on. ???

Which alternator do you have external or internal voltage regulator

Thats a very long battery cable there! Is that a butt connector by the alternator? Are the wires stock or........ what did you do!?
