Coilover or coil spring? You want to put the disk brakes on your TE27 rear end or swap the whole rear end?

Did you measure it? Isnt it about 4 inches wider? To make the TE27 fit that rear end would be a lot of work. Never heard of anybody doing it and there are probably a lot of reasons why.

I believe the GTS rear end is 2" wider than the 74 SR5 rear end which is 2" wider than stock? I looked at a 4 link setup but I'll most likely get flex a form composite leaf springs de arched to avoid using blocks and with the right spring rate.

A lot of people just use the pumpkin from the 86 and plop it in your existing te27 rear end. Only way for this to work is

1.) you have the 10 bolt 6.7 rear end in the te27 already

2.) if you have the 10 bolt, you need to chop off 1/8" on the te27 axles for it to fit the 86 diff...

If you want to use the coilovers n swap... I figure it would be a lot of work especially with the shock towers. hmmmm I wouldn't know where to start.

I picked it for spare for my 86 and then the wheels started turning and was just curios. Probably won't go that route.
