I have a 6a hooked up to my 3tc and I get no spark. It ran fine before doing msd upgrade msd box gets power (cuz power light turns on) I have the purple n green wires ran right to dist. not using white wire n gray is to the tach. Any ideas on why no start

Use the white wire on a previous install the green purple failed after installation

You need to hook only the black and orange on the coil
The msd will take care of the coil power itself

When you said no power to the coil do you mean no 12V ??

Did you crank the engine to check for spark usually those msd don't burn so easy ?

Can you post the installation picture the way you wired ??

I have from msd box heavy red to bat. heavy black to chassis ground orange /black to coil grey to tach green/purple to distributer white wire not used but gives power out and red ignition The box turns on as seen by the power light. car cranks no spark u said use white wire to where?????

Heavy red = Plus +
Heavy black = ground
Red = 12v ignition switched
Orange = plus + coil positive
Back = negative coil

The tach wire goes to the input of the msd

Check it the msd is set for 4 cylinder

The green and purple is for the magnetic pickup distributer !

Or The with wire to the negative of the distributer magnetic pickup
