This is another way and it works perfect too, Cuz the dowel pins line the tranny perfectly on the 3t block and you just need to slot the holes a little. as long as the dowels are in place the bolts will tight it up just perfect!toyotero2dend wrote:cut the starter hump place it on the left side and the piece you cut from the left weld it on the right use the flex plate to align it then weld
and you need to work on the 4 holes to attach the tranny to the engine all this done with the flex plate in its place,,make sure to set it with the dowell pin thats on the top side of the tranny

Re: w series trans.
Im not sure if you would have them in the USA but,
in AUS i use ether 3TG or 1G bellhousings to bolt W5* gearboxs to T series block.
3TGTE bolt straight up and use everything from the T50 bellhousing (clutch fork, slave, etc)
1G Has the clutch fork on the Left side of the vechile so that my become and issue for your steeringboxs?
i can fit 3'' dump pipe between the fork and my idler arm though.
ill have pictures of this somewere if needed.

Is the spline coming out of the w58 in the front the same as the t50 or do we need a special clutch and pressure plate
