Valve lash for better tuning?

So Its been a while and I want to adjust my valve lash for maitinance concerns.
I did some research and found the stock sizes are: Intake :.008 Exhaust .013
how much lower should I go without causing damage but making sure I'm getting the MOST hp out of the process?
I'm thinking Int..005 ex.010
I know it wont be a huge gain.. or even an "okay" gain.. I'm just hoping for some highway merging power lol

The lash won't make you gain any power in one performance engines

Wel I looked online and it says people do it to male the cam seem a bit larger. Ill try and report bac.
