Electric radiator fan not working correctly
I recently converted from a manual fan to electric fan for all the benefits. My car came with everything I would need to do an OEM hookup and all I had to do was buy the parts necessary for the conversion (fan, shroud, switch, relay).
So I got everything installed, plugged and wired up but it doesn't work like it's supposed to, here is what I bought.
Fan switch from STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS Part # TS117
Fan relay from FOUR SEASONS Part # 35843
Fan/shroud from a 93-97 Prizm/Corolla
Ebay Slim fan
The problem is when I hook up the wire for the thermostat sensor the fan doesn't work, but when I remove the wire the fan turns and stays on. It's like when I plug in the wire for the sensor it lifts the ground and shuts it off, that's the best way for me to describe it. I saw someone's write up on doing the fan conversion and they mentioned that the green wire (which runs the sensor) has to be in the spot located under the fuse box, which you see in my picture.
Here's a picture of the fan hooked up to the OEM wiring. It works fine and switching the wires around only changes the direction of the fan (blowing in or blowing out).
So when the temp sensor isn't connected the fan runs. I tried messing with the cables to see if it makes a difference. When I remove the big plug with the green wire, the fan still stays on. When I remove the single wire plug on the far right, fan shuts off, and obviously when I remove the relay.
If you click the picture below it's a video of what I am talking about and how the fan is currently working. If anyone has seen this before or know how it works that would be of great help, to know whether it's an issue of how I hooked it up, the parts I got, or maybe I have bad wiring.

Re: Electric radiator fan not working correctly
The Fan switch should the one to activate the fan not the temp switch so i quest wrong wiring. That sensor need to either ground the relay

Re: Electric radiator fan not working correctly
I couldn't find anything working on it today. I took apart the fuse box to see if there were any crossed electric paths but everything looked good. But after I put it back together the fan now stays on, whether I hook up the sensor or not. I'm going to order another relay and see if it makes a difference. The problem for me to test out the relay is that they don't have the numbers stamped on it like the new ones do (30, 85, 86, 87).
Also is there a fuse for the fan? Can't find it under the hood, driver kick panel or interior fuse box.

Important to know what do you measure coming out the relay counter socket you have four type of this relays

Re: Electric radiator fan not working correctly
I'll rewire it as a last resort, but I want to know if I can get one that will plug into place without the rewiring. And actually this isn't like the other 4, this relay is the only relay that is T shaped. The other 4 relays have the pins sides to side like this style:
