Differential Gasket
I need help to find the differential carrier gasket. The only part# I found was RDS27411. I ordered the part, but didn't fit. Too small. I looked on autonzone's site and it shows the same part number, but has one that is 6" gear ring and 6.38" gear ring. That doesn't make sense because it's the same part number and the store would not be able to tell which one I would get. I'm assuming it's the 6.38" I need because mine was just a bit too small. If not a gasket, could I use sealant only? Also is there anyway of identifying the differential? Is there a part/model number on it?

Re: Differential Gasket
I did think about the RTV. I would have just did that, but everyone I asked said it wouldn't be a good idea. I ordered another gasket from toyota dealer site. Hopefully it fits. If not I will have no choice but to do the RTV.
Re: Differential Gasket
Even big tractor an machinery heavy duty use RTV don't see any problem use it !

Re: Differential Gasket
I guess I'll have to try the silicon gasket. The part I ordered from Toyota dealer came in. It didn't fit.
