Upgraded Front Sway Bar for TE72

Post by rolla_rage »

Has anyone installed an upgraded front stabilizer bar on their TE72 Corolla? I've come across the ADDCO 702 ($255) and Tanabe ($275).

Brand, cost, ease of install, ride quality, understeer/oversteer, did it make a difference?

Main thing I'm trying to combat is one tire fire when accelerating hard on RH corners. I have a GM 7.5" with Torsen LSD, but it seems the weight transfer from cornering, along with torque reaction of the rear end trying to lighten the RH tire puts too little torque into the diff to lock it up. Seems leveling out the front couldn't hurt.

Anyone had similar probs on an LSD; what did you do to fix it?

Thanks,
-J
