Oil pressure questions.

Post by Kenny727 »

I've done a search and it seems at idle I should be at about 5.5 PSI..
I'm pretty much stuck at 4 at idle, maybe 6 at higher RPMS.
Now my dipstick says my oil is on point, but IT might not be the regular one.. could low pressure mean low oil? What other problems might this cause?
Also I head you want heavier oil In pushrod engines
What's everyone's recommendations for weight of synthetic oil for there 3t's?

What's everyone's recommendations for weight of synthetic oil for there 3t's? Where do you live? If you research those two questions you will get the answer. Also the manual will tell you. You should invest on a Haynes manual.

I live IN FL so I never have to worry about low temps.
I know I have to buy a Haynes soon..
But until then... What's oil pressure supposed to be at?
I'm down to between 1 and 2 now..
