1980 Sedan

Post by Toywagon82 »

I picked up a 1980 corolla last week.
its a 5 speed!
the body is a little beat up and its been repainted crappy, the interior is a 6/10.
the seats are decent but the 2 front door panels, dash, and headliner are pretty bad.
The wiring is also kind of sketchy.
i plan on building this one for toyota fest.
so far ive installed my Pbm coilovers on it.i still need to have my friend reinforce the rear towers.
next week ill start fixing up the interior and cleaning up the engine bay.
im hoping to find some wheels for it next payday

This car is nice, I kinda want to work on it too. I always wondered about those bumper being paintable. I have the same suede-like material on my ae86

Today i replaced the cap and rotor, plugs and wires, adjusted the valves and replaced the cover gasket.
it runs wayyyy better now.
the engine feels very healthy and doesnt smoke.it looks like they just redid the radiator and replaced the fan clutch also.
thursday i will be going through the sketchy wiring.they wired the headlights on a toggle switch, tails on a seperate one because the switches werw broken.luckily i have a spare switch.at that point oll be swapping in my woodgrain wheel also.

Next payday ill be doing the brakes, wheel bearings and replacing the warped rotors.i drove it to work and the car feels great.i am very happy with this one

Would you recommend the coil over setup that you put on this? Where do you buy that stuff from?
