Santos Turbo 1.8 Update

Post by santosturbo »

It's been a long time since I have posted on here because of the Facebook fever. Still racing the same car with some minor upgrades. Last September in Bakersfield, the car ran a personal best of 8.75 @ 159 in Bakersfield. That was still with the same 2rz motor that I had put in the car. In Hilo Hawaii, the engine finally started to give with slight rod knocking. From October 2013 to April of this year, we had been working nonstop to get the car ready for one of my biggest match ups ever: Kris Lauffer and his record holding Vw. We had the car repainted and the motor rebuilt. Here are a few pictures of the updates

Congratulations! :D

What does she run over the quarter mile now?

The car looks really good with the makeover too. :)

Very nice! I'm going to guess you plan on sweet talking the car & engine combo into giving a bit more since it is all fresh?

If I read correctly on your Facebook you run only a 26 x 8.5 tire? Does the small tire with cog swapper make for a ride that needs some steering input or have you got it tamed? :D

Cheers,
Jason

Yes sir, driving a small tire car with a clutch less 5 speed G-Force 2000 is definitely a driving experience.
