Ke26 Restoration

Post by Toywagon82 »

A few weeks ago my buddy sold his ke26 wagon to a guy in hawaii,
he decieded he wanted my buddy jim to restore it before weship it out.
so far we have disassembled the car to bare shell.
we are doing a full restoration on the car.
we sent the interior pieces to get redone.
we pulled out the old 3k and put in a 4age for mock up.
my buddy jim is making the mounts to fit the car.
we modded the factory trans crossmember and got it to work with a gts t50.
we are upgrading front and rear suspension, replacing cracked trims and lights.
The goal is to make the car look as stock as possible but to be dependable for another 40+years.
we are rubber coating underneath the car to prevent rust.
we will be sending stuff to get chromed sometime this week.
i will post more updates as we go threw the restoration,
Enjoy:)

Thanks boblook!

Today jimmy was working on motor mounts,
A perfect fit.they just need to be welded up(they are tacked into place for now) and then powder coated.
