Backseat had some stitching thst came undone. Restitched that this past week and threw backseat back together. Also was not able to fold the backsest down, but found a way to rig everything back together, and now folds like it should.

Wow nice find. I personally think 82's were the better year for the TE since they came 5 speed but still kept the 3TC. Do you plan to swap your transmission out in the future? Keep us updated and maybe I'll copy your 3TC build when you finish
The factory roof racks I've only ever seen them on a few wagons at the junk yard years ago so yeah I guess they're on the rarer side of things.
For your wheels, I've never heard about that company before but I did a quick search and found out they're called "Ansen Cross Wire Sprint".
Lastly, that steering wheel looks cool but also looks like a pain to drive especially without power steering

Thought about swapping out to manual tranny if I could find one, but being in Los Angeles, I feel i would regret not sticking with automatic.

Not sure if only the '82 deluxe edition was the only model with power steering, but was lucky with this 3tc because it did come with power steering. Only time i have trouble now is when i drive a car with a regular sized steering wheel
Thank you for the info on the wheels also! Was very helpful.

Nice, I always thought only the 83 came with Power Steering. Yeah man L.A. traffic sucks so bad! I would think T50 transmissions aren't too bad to find in SoCal but that's just my assumption. You could always hit up the annual Japanese Classic Car Show and ask people for parts I bet they have a ton of spares laying around.
