Re: is a fuel return really needed for dual 45dcoe

I think you will face pressure spikes at idle !

Do you mean Pressure spikes without a regulator?

I would assume that the hollley regulator can be used with the carter fuel pump ?

Re: is a fuel return really needed for dual 45dcoe

Also if the pump dead heads at 4.5 - 5 psi (the required pressure for the carbs) is it still necessary to run a regulator on the return line

Re: is a fuel return really needed for dual 45dcoe

I am running dual 40's right now. I am having some fuel delivery issues and I'm thinking it's related to no return line. I was wondering if it is necessary to use a fuel pressure regulator after the carbs on the return line or can you just let it free flow. I am currently using a carter 4070 fuel pump

Re: te27 hood vents?

i originally was thinking about louvers. the carb side have the louvers face forward and the exhaust side have the louvers face back.

i was thinking about ways to lower engine bay temps. i want to get some ideas and see how things look on the hood
thanks for the pics

Lean condition issue

I have an auto meter narrowband air/fuel gauge and sensor. The car runs a little In the rich whil idling and when I'm on the gas it stays right at the stoics/rich line all the way through the rpm range. How ever after driving for about fifteen minutes everything starts to run leaner according to the...

Re: Header not fitting

i had a similar issue with my header. real tight fit between steering linkage and bellhousing. i cut the collector off and welded a new one in. this allowed me to put the header in the car with out the collector on and fit the new collector in the exact position i needed it

Re: cam valve lash?

i also purchased a cam from BRD and did not receive any specs/cam card. it is a norris 368 cam. i called him and he told me that it is 490 lift 268 duration. he told me to set valve lash at .018 intake and .020 exhaust for break in and then to readjust to .016 intake and .018 exhaust.
