Re: Better Lift Supports for TE72 Wagon - Liftgate Gas Sprin
I found some better ones that work great; 127lbs vs 80lbs and require no mods to install. AMS Automotive #4776. Rock Auto has them for $8 ea. https://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=1807128&jnid=2&jpid=3 Starts lifting the hatch from about 25% open, and no chance of it ever dropping...

Re: rear axle swaps
Diff Update: I recently swapped the OE Camaro torsen style posi for an Eaton plate style (19599-010) and the single track issue is gone! Under all acceleration, turning or not, both tires pull. Just to be sure I had the clutch packs shimmed 0.010" on each side. No chatter and no single tracking...

   Awesome set up who made the spacer and Trd pieces? I would love to buy a pair Santos, any machine shop should be able to help you out. Here are the adapter and wheel spacer, I didn't make a print of face plate. The forum won't let me upload the CAD files, so when I get a sec...

A little bling... IMG_1035.JPG JB'd and blended (150, then 400 grit): IMG_1085.JPG Painted and faced on mill: IMG_1107.JPG I found this out the hard way, the raw machined "TRD" aluminum corrodes quite quickly. The solution is easy - just hit them with Hi-Temp clearcoat after the red paint ...

Re: Larger Vented Rotor Big Brake Upgrade for TE72 Corolla
Okay, so my new brakes are awesome, brake fade is no more! I figured I'd share what I came up with: 1) Modified stock TE72 caliper brackets (turned some threaded collars, hacked up stock TE72 caliper bracket, tied together with a little metal and a lot of MIG wire) 2) Machined adapter plates to use ...

Upgraded Front Sway Bar for TE72
Has anyone installed an upgraded front stabilizer bar on their TE72 Corolla? I've come across the ADDCO 702 ($255) and Tanabe ($275). Brand, cost, ease of install, ride quality, understeer/oversteer, did it make a difference? Main thing I'm trying to combat is one tire fire when accelerating hard on...
