Great write up tojo, I found a similar one on japanesenostalgic. but its pretty much the same as yours.... its pretty easy to do, Just take your time and Don't lose any of the little balls that are in the trans. And TAKE OUT THE RODS in the order they say!!!! I cracked the housing on the Scrap trans...

Well my understanding is that they all "T50" where pretty much the same "ALMOST"...lol. The difference between T40 and T50 was that T40 was a 4 speed and T50 was a 5 speed. Older T50/T40 had the rear tail shaft housing shifter hole more towards the front, And I "think" ...

Ok, but our the housings the same? is that rear bolt pattern the same? Everyone always swaps the front bell housing but I haven't found anything on the rear.
