Re: My 79 TE51 2TC

Have you upgraded the cam & raised compression?
From what ive read, the power increases are via porting, changed to a downdraft weber and fitted extractors. 10-20hp gain seems realistic if no other power adders were done?

Re: AE86 camber plates on TE51

Shouldnt be too hard to find. For instance the e3/e5/e6 was built on the same chassis. But please confirm before buying...

Re: AE86 camber plates on TE51

they are not a direct bolt in due to the bolt pattern difference. ae86 have an unequal bolt spacing of the 3 chassis bolts compared to the equal spaced E3/E5 mounting. so you'll have to re drill the strut tower to make it work. The E2/E3/E5/E7 damper will fit ae86 camber plate.

Re: 3TC N/A BUILD

Yeap you'll be building an expensive n/a engine to compete with modern high tech hondas. Is the F20c still the highest power per capacity mass production engine in the world? to get the most out of a 3t you're talking about boring to 89mm with high compression pistons, race cam, porting, lighten eve...

Re: 3T with W58 question

If the box bolts in fine.. A quick fix could be to add a longer spigot bearing to the crank. Same inside/outside diameter but longer length

Re: 3T with W58 question

The t50 and w5# bellhousing are the same 160mm thickness. By adding the adapter it is spacing the gearbox away from the engine and shortening the driveshaft yolk travel and affecting gearbox mount alignment. I would suspect as part of the conversion you'd need to skim the gearbox end of the t50 bell...
