T40 or T50 but a 2tc trans would be preferable due to shifter location. 71-74 uses a different starter but the large starter plate fits. 75-79 uses the small starter. Most comprehensive would be toyota, then bentley, haynes and chilton. If they still sell the toyota manual, I think they run over $100 from the dealer.

Starter bolts to trans, not engine, year of motor doesnt matter.
What year corolla is it?

3tc top, 2tc bottom

Seen it done before and the guy ended up throwing the engine away. A regular piston ring tool wont work unless you shorten it and it still will be a bitch to do. I think you have to try and remove or crack the rings.

All 2tc motor mounts are the same.
