i need the early t50 with the "closer" shifter. 20 spline. please need car back on the road.

Would love to see that write up but the site won't let me view it. I have a close ratio t-50 but the shifter is in the wrong location for my console in my te27 .

Well my understanding is that they all "T50" where pretty much the same "ALMOST"...lol. The difference between ... a 4 speed and T50 was a 5 speed. Older T50/T40 had the rear tail shaft housing shifter hole more towards the front, And I "think" had the smaller Front ...

... it spin while driving (disengaged)? 81 corolla donor- rebuilt 3tc, T50 transmission inspected, new clutch kit, and transmission tail swapped with an early model to move the shifter 4" forward. About 6k miles on drivetrain.

Yes I did it to make the shifter 4" more forward. You have to change the shift rods and speedometer gear also.
