Re: Need help: budget Build List
Try researching wikipedia toyota T series engine. There you can see the different variants of the T series engine and understand why its not that simple to just slap parts together to make a budget build. Honestly, Id focus on getting your T engine to run first. Then you can decide from there where ...

Re: Need help: budget Build List
I think you need to do a little more research on your build. Sounds like you have big aspirations but are new to the engine assembly game.
1. B2200 pistons will not fit a 3tc
2. Sr20 manifold w/t28 turbo will not fit 3tc
Forget your low budget because the cost of fabrication or professional ...

Re: 1972 te27 exhaust?
Thats a central resonator friend. It prevents unwanted vibrations and booming in the cabin of the car caused by exhaust pulses.
Resonators are usually double walled cylinders packed with a sound dampening material or even baffled.

Re: 1972 te27 exhaust?
I used to own a 74 sprinter. No catalytic converters were installed as far as I know.
According to what I found online "Catalytic converters were first widely introduced in American production cars in 1975 due to EPA regulations on toxic reductions. The United States Clean Air Act required a 75 ...

Re: 2TC Twin weber advice.
I have no idea how to send something that big to the states baldo. I just travel between and can only fit an X amount in my check-in baggages. I did see a 151e motor when I went to the local Toyotafest Philippines show last august. The company that owned it is called C Auto Performance and the guy ...

Re: 2TC Twin weber advice.
Agreed!
The T series pushrod engine was considered high tech in the early 70's and put into toyota's premier sports car the celica. I have seen Sidedrafts, hks camshafts, rare tosco catalog parts, and even jewels like 152/151E engines and even twin cam trd 4K engines floating around in local ...

Re: 2TC Twin weber advice.
Well, its the engine that comes factory in the car in 1973. I wish I could afford an 18rg or 2tg but thats out of my budget. I dont plan on getting a cam or modfying the internals. I have been collecting the parts needed for the weber setup for a couple months now. I just need the jets and It should ...

Re: 2TC Twin weber advice.
Crap!!
carb 1 f16 emulsion tube, 200 air corrector
carb 2 f2 emulsion tube, 165 air corrector
These carbs are waay off. The only parts that were correct for my setup are the two 40f9 pump jets for the 1st carb.
