Re: Squeal sound from clutch ?

I would be doubtful of it being clutch/flywheel friction noise, personally. Though it begs the question, why would you install a new clutch without re-surfacing the flywheel?

Re: Single sidedraft with stock cam ?

I am running a single Weber 40 DCOE with my stock cam, and it has made a great improvement over the stock carb. I'm also running the mechanical fuel pump. Over 40k miles with this setup as a daily driver, and I couldn't be happier. I also have a ported and shaved pre-EGR 2TC head, 4-1 headers w/ 2.5...

Re: Squeal sound from clutch ?

I'd put my money on it being a bad throwout bearing (aka release bearing) as mentioned above. Mine was doing the exact thing recently.

Re: 3T Head. How much to shave?

I don't have a definitive answer, but keep in mind that if you're in the US (or have a motor that is) you'll be starting with a 9.0:1 compression ratio. Bob being in Europe got a slightly lower 8.5:1 stock ratio than we did state side.

Cylinder Heads: Early 2T, 13T, and 3T

Up for sale, be sure to read the last paragraph for important info . First is an early 2T head with the water neck. Pre EGR, pulled from a car that was rear ended and sat for a while, may need refresh/rebuild and a good cleaning. 5 Finger manifold is sold already so just the head + neck. $200 + ship...

Re: Stll stinks to high heavens...........

My first thought would be the Cat. What smog equipment do you have/not have? Without a smog pump, I'd think the catalyst would be at risk of overheating, which might cause problems? Just spitballing...

Re: How to tune your carb for more HP?

If you want a synchronous carb you oughta get a 38/38 Outlaw as opposed to the 32/36 you have, though it won't make much difference on a stock motor. Your best bet, in terms of tuning your current carb, is just trying to get your mixture as stoich across the board as you can by re-jetting it if it c...
